The first step is to complete the online form.
After that, I will reach out to you for a free consultation call. Among other things, we will discuss whether my expertise aligns with your needs, and whether telehealth is appropriate to address your concerns.
If it is determined that you may benefit from services with me, we will schedule a 2-hour diagnostic intake evaluation over telehealth.
After that, the majority of clients attend once-weekly teletherapy sessions. The length of treatment depends on needs. Because I primarily implement short-term evidence-based treatments, many clients complete treatment after 12-20 sessions; however, some clients may need to stay in treatment longer. Please do not hesitate to discuss length of treatment with me at any time.
Telehealth has been demonstrated in research to be an effective treatment modality for many presenting concerns, including the areas that I treat. It can offer many benefits, including convenience and lessened demands (e.g., childcare, time off work). In addition, because many of the childhood concerns that I treat involve parent-focused work, telehealth can be appropriate even for concerns related to young children. Although all treatment has risks, I use a HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform designed to protect client confidentiality.
However, telehealth is not appropriate for all clients. For example, if the child is the active participant in individual therapy and has difficulty engaging over a screen, telehealth may not be appropriate for them. As part of our consultation call, we will explore whether telehealth is appropriate for your specific circumstances.
I do not accept insurance and am considered an out-of-network provider for all insurance plans. All fees are due at the time of service. Some insurance plans will provide full or partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. I can provide documentation for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement purposes.
At this time, I do not have a physical office, so I exclusively offer services via telehealth.
